Garlic Sesame Green Beans

We are always happy when Caitlan brings these to a potluck!

Ingredients

1 LB Green Beans, chopped

2-3 Cloves Garlic or a bunch of Garlic Scapes, finely chopped

3 small Shallots (or 1/2 sweet onion), chopped

3 Teaspoons Sesame Seeds

2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce

2 Teaspoons Sesame Oil

1 Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes, optional

Salt & Pepper, to taste

Directions

Trim and chop the green beans.

Heat a cast iron skillet on medium high with sesame oil. Once hot, add the green beans and shallots.

Cook for 5 minutes. Next, add in the garlic, soy sauce, sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 5 more minutes, or until the beans turn a light green color.

Remove from heat. Add salt and pepper. Enjoy!
