How to make Zoodles!

If you own a spiralizer, making zucchini noodles (aka “zoodles”) is super easy! Use the spiralizer to cut your zucchini into thin, curly spaghetti noodles. If you do not own a spiralizer, do not fret! There are a few other options to making the noodles:

Ingredients

Zucchini

Your favorite sauce

Choose a Method

-julienne vegetable peeler: this type of peeler will create very small, thin noodles fairly quickly

-mandolin: slice thin zucchini planks with the mandolin, then use a knife to cut the planks into fettuccine-sized strips

-vegetable peeler: use the peeler to cut the zucchini into thin strips. This method will yield a wider noodle.

-knife: this option is a little more time consuming, but with a sharp knife you can julienne your zucchini into thin pasta strips. No need to peel.

Directions

-Once your zoodles are cut, it’s time to prepare the dish. If you plan to cook your zoodles, lightly saute them. Add them to any other vegetables for the last minute of cooking, just enough to heat them through. If they cook any longer, they will become more watery and mushy. Another great option is to serve them raw! Tossing them raw with sauce and some other veggies adds flavor and keeps them nice and crunchy. Peanut, alfredo, marinara, tahini, and pesto are all great sauce options.

Enjoy!
